Right. So we’ve talked about it in general but let’s just say overall how does affiliate marketing work.
You then put a banner or an ad on a website or an e-mail or make social media announcements for our products and because they have a white whale of appeal a lot of people pick them up. Then a visitor comes to your website and clicks on or ad or you know gets an e-mail or whatever. Basically the Internet users interact with the advertisement in some way. So then they come to the website. They purchase the products and services and. The affiliate gets paid for increasing my online sales. Now the affiliate has a little bit more money because I’ve just paid him for so he gets to increase his spending. He increases his relationships with businesses like me he expands he advertises more of my products and services. So he gets a wider range of appeal more Internet users interact with the advertisements my money website receives money from the internet users perch suggest they purchase the products and services affiliate has even more money and you can see well this is circular. It just keeps going around and around the money is building the relationship is growing. Everybody. Happy. All right. Which kind of brings us neatly into our next point which is merchant and affiliate or.
Phase one you want to be the affiliate because that’s where you learned the business. It’s easy as a quick reminder, remember that the merchants make money from the clients sent to them by the publishers are affiliates and the affiliates and the publishers make money from ads placed on their sites. A nice way I like to remember it is affiliate ad. So an affiliate makes money from the ad merchant makes money from the merchandise. So once you’ve been the affiliate for a while then you can also be the merchant and it doesn’t mean you have to be worn or the other you can actually be booked. So you can have your websites with an ad.
Right. So some things that merchants must do they have to obviously have a website a solid site one that can convert one combined with you know whatever sales methods you have in place. You need a good product a product that people want to buy. You need to be able to convert because if you can’t convert what is the whole point of the process. You need to be able to convert those potential customers coming in through those advertising and actually making a sale. And then of course tracking you need to track all of the information you need to track how many people click on the ad you need to track how many customers are made you to track how much money has been made and then when you have all that information then you can decide how you pay your affiliate how you pay your partners at the end of all of the process.
So what I’m going to do is just give you a brief overview an idea. Right. Obviously you need a personal logon so that they can tell who you are what your products are who you’re working with. You need real time detailed reporting obviously again. This is something very important because you can’t just be paying your affiliate or your merchant based on his word. What he says you need to know what’s going on. You need to have the numbers you need a platform to keep eunuch a tweet or publisher’s via group emails so you know having a mailshot having a form. You can’t just be adding some of these e-mail manually every time somebody signs up to your program you want them to be added also masochist so that you can mail them and talk straight away. You need somewhere to upload a new creative offers and dynamic product feeds so fine.
